Further Reading:
This is a wild red tea which means it comes from trees growing wild, of their own accord, with no human intervention. It comes from an area called Big Snow Mountain (Da Xue Shan) in Yongde County in Yunnan China. The trees are of an old indigenous heirloom variety and are not camellia sinensis the species commonly used to make the majority of tea in the world. As such they are very hearty trees which can grow quite large. This lot is comprised of many trees across the mountainside. This is in contrast to the 2026 One which comes from the same region but from a single gigantic tree hundreds of years old.
