Diver is a fresh white tea from the Spring of 2026. The trees are fairly old and agrochemicals have never been used on the land. This particular garden is only harvested in the Spring which allows the trees to concentrate their energy throughout the year. This comes from the same garden is the 2025 Center offering you the unique opportunity to compare two different years from the same trees. This year the tea was harvested a little earlier with a focus on picking more small leaf and bud sets. This shifts the flavor slightly towards a more round and sweet profile with less vegetal and herbaceous character. After the tea was picked it is dried on circular bamboo screens in both the shade and the sun until the desired moisture content is reached.
In choosing this option we package the discs in a combination of glassine and cellulose film. If the order allows we will ship in compostable envelopes. Please note these bags and envelopes are not suitable for the long term storage of tea. We recommend you transfer the discs to an airtight container of your choosing upon their arrival. Each type of disc should be stored in a separate container as tea can absorb the aromas of other teas.
Ecologically sound packaging is a constant and continuous research process for us. We strive to create minimal waste in sharing these natural products. Our conventional packaging is designed to be deconstructed and reused. To date our handmade tea tins remain the most conscious option for shipping and storing tea discs.
